When I first wandered into the store and saw the wonderful displays and the variety of projects, I was hooked. In the year since that day, I have taken every class available. I've made mosaic tabletops, trivets, stepping stones and holiday items. Then dichroic jewelry - what fun to make and to wear. I have made a couple of dozen stained glass pieces in various sizes, some for seasons, some in the garden, some hang, some in stands or on easels; all fun to make and great to have. Just walking into the store provides inspiration for the next projects, between the beautifully addictive glass and the many pattern books. Phyllis and Joan are wonderful at helping select projects and glass with an unerring eye for color and style. And so patient teaching, explaining, and sometimes rescuing us from ourselves! The Friday night "help" workshops are terrific. The only limitation is having the time to do it all!!!

I'm not good with the written word - what I would definitely pass on to anyone who would read it... is inspiration. I hadn't touched stained glass in decades, and, after one visit with you, I couldn't wait to get started again. Even though you are 3 hours away from me, I know that I can get whatever supplies I need just by phoning you or by email. Your selection of glass is incomparable. I feel blessed to have found you. I was not new to stained glass when I first found Castle Stained Glass. I'd taken my first class when I was still teaching. When I retired and move to Arroyo Grande, south of San Luis Obispo, one of the first things I did was search for another stained glass outlet. I called Castle, left a message and my call was returned the very next day. Phyllis was friendly, very professional and smart on the phone. I was stunned when I sent to Castle Stained Glass. My prevcious experience had been small quarters, large (10-12 people) classes and limited supplies.
Castle Stained Glass is a gold mine. The new store is huge, airy, light and organized. I've taken every class they have given (I think) and take anything new that is offered. I now live in Hanford in the Central Valley and I still go to Castle Stained Glass. There's nothing like it anywhere, Valley or Coast. The 2 1/2 hour drive is more than worth it for classes, supplies, professional help and forever friendly service from Phyllis and Joan, and just plain getting energized. It's wonderful!
